Tango Bar
One of the most famous places to dance tango in the 50’s in Buenos Aires was a bar called Bar Unión, where a large group of people would gather at night to sing, dance and drink. And just as there was a famous bar, there was also a famous and very young dancer called El Cachafaz (the “Naughty One”), who would became one of the best tango dancers of the country. A Bar Unión Special would be the milk jam liquor, manufactured using Argentina’s most famous dessert, which was discovered by chance when a woman slave forgot she had milk boiling in a pot, and after several hours that milk turned into a very sweet jam.
